June 29th, Mila and Grit won their first beachvolley tournament, beating Hemmann/Illiger at the IOK Beach Cup (Jena) in the finals. Time for some beachvolleyball tournaments:
PICTURES holiday in Italy and Corsica! Dear volleyballfans, My first year back in Germany has come to an end... and it was a great year! Suhl has become a very special place for me: nice little city, a great team, very pleasant players, professional staff and extremely outrageous fans! Already in 2004 Vfb 91 Suhl's president Mr. Wehner contacted me for the first time, but only 3 years later he convinced me to come over here... and I am glad he did! The championship was not bad at all. We ended the season beating the new champion Vilsbiburg 1/3 with the same amount of points as Dresden and Schwerin. Unfortunately these 2 teams obtained better set statistics... we missed the silver or bronze medal with the slightest difference. I came back to Germany with a dream. I finally wanted a German award... and we got it! About 9000 volleyballfans saw us win the German Cup in Halle, beating NA Hamburg in the finals. This year I also won 2 personal awards. Volleyball Magazine gave me the "player of the month award" in March and the Suhl spectators elected me Player of the year. I am very proud of this award! Now it's time for a holiday. I'm leaving soon with David to Corsica and in august preperations for the next saison start with our new headcoach. bye for now, Grit Lehmann
